The Abilities in Me Book Series
This book is dedicated to children born with a condition called 22q also known as DiGeorge Syndrome. 22q is caused by a missing part of chromosome 22 in each cell. The deletion occurs near the middle of the chromosome on the q arm at a location known as q11.2. There are up to 180 different symptoms all together.
This book is dedicated to the wonderful, brave children who are born with a congenital heart defect. CHD affects 1 in 110 births. Most of those children will have to undergo major heart surgery before their 1st birthday and the majority will have to have more than one operation in their lifetime.
This book is dedicated to the amazing children with ASD and will feature two characters, a boy and a girl. The spectrum is so varied, we want to show some of the differences to create awareness and teach young children about the day in the life of autism. In 2018 the CDC determined that approximately 1 in 59 children is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD).READ MORE
Autism is a varied spectrum, girls don’t always present the same way boys do with autism and it can be harder to diagnose. We have featured this beautiful little girl into our book to show the differences and create awareness. We will teach young children how to be kind, understanding, supportive and be good friend to those diagnosed with ASD.READ MORE
